The Stella di Mare International Pro-Am is the biggest golf tournament in Egypt and one of the largest in the Middle East and North Africa region. Attracting players from across the world, from as far as Japan to Sweden, the International Pro-Am is a Stella di Mare spectacle. The event has been running since 2010, attracting a field of at least 80 players each time. Notably, the tournament ran in 2011 after the Egyptian revolution, with over 90 players and European Tour star Paul Broadhurst competing.
The tournament has turned into a 'good luck charm' to many players, with Paul winning on the European Tour shortly after winning in 2011 and most remarkably Roger Chapman going on to become a double Major Champion in 2012 after playing the Stella di Mare International Pro-Am.
The tournament is over 54 holes, with an Official Practice Day. A cocktail party and welcoming BBQ as well as evening entertainment are part of the activities. The week is rounded off in style with a superb Gala Dinner and Prize presentation.
